CSU-Lasam Alumni hosts 2024 Dayaw ti CSU Lasam Ceremony cum Dinner for a Cause

Lasam, Cagayan— Cagayan State University (CSU) -Lasam Campus Alumni Association hosted the 2024 Dayaw ti CSU Lasam Ceremony cum Dinner for a Cause themed: "CSU Alumni to the World: Honoring Tradition, Pursuing Excellence, and Staying true to our roots" on December 18, 2024.

To formally welcome the said event, Prof. Gilbert Magulod Jr, PhD, President of the Alumni Association delivered his welcoming remarks, reminiscing the significant contribution of CSU-Lasam to its students.

"All of you who came back at CSU, you were able to realize your roots and of course without CSU wala tayo dito," Dr. Magulod stated.

Moreover, Angelito B. Salas, MAEd, Campus Alumni Relations and Placement Services Coordinator, presented the CSU Alumni Officers and acknowledged the CSU Alumni batches, guests, and visitors.

Prof. Recto A. Aguirre, PhD, University Director for Alumni Relations and Placement Services, conveyed an inspiring message, recognizing the efforts of the Alumni Association of CSU-Lasam.

"I believe that CSU family is not complete and never will be complete without its Alumni, we are all an important part of the family; CSU family, we are all the treasure, the precious gems because we complete the CSU family," Prof. Aguirre said.

In addition, Prof. Florante Victor M. Balatico, PhD, Campus Executive Officer of CSU-Lasam, shared an uplifting speech regarding improvements and awards received by the institutions.

Ms. Dana Paula T. Agatep, Executive Secretary of LGU Lasam, Hon. Randy C. Cambe, Vice Mayor of Lasam, and Hon. Engr. Dante Dexter A. Agatep, Mayor of Lasam were recognized as Honorary Awardees for their dedication to fostering a strong partnership between LGU Lasam and CSU-Lasam, that significantly contributed to the campus's growth and development.

Furthermore, they also recognized the Inspiring Youth Alumni, Distinguished Alumni from the three colleges, and the passers of the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET), which was followed by Mr. Eugene G. Soriano, Master Teacher 1 of Alannay Elementary School who received the prestigious Dayaw ti CSU Lasam Award 2024.

Meanwhile, to address the prominent problem of insufficient armchairs in the classrooms of the three colleges, the campus received 55 armchairs donated by the Alumni Association.
