CSU Lasam holds Search for Best Undergraduate Thesis

To strengthen the research skills and abilities of the students, Cagayan State University – Lasam Campus conducted the 2024 Search for Best Undergraduate Thesis.

Said activity showcased arrays of instructional materials, capstone projects, and product displays of the student-researchers in three categories namely social, experimental, and technological research.

Asst. Prof. John Carlo Banan, Campus Research and KTM Coordinator, emphasized the importance of research in today´s generation.

Panel of evaluators were composed of Dr. Jehan U. Gerardo and Mr. DJ Mark Garcia of WCSAT for the Social research category; Ms. Cely Ramil for technological research category and Asst. Prof. Michelle Soriano for the experimental category.

Prof. Florante Victor M. Balatico, Campus Executive Officer also highlighted the importance of the activity.

“I want to congratulate everyone for the successful presentation. You are conducting those researches for your future and not for recognition.” He stated.

Among the awardees are as follows:

Social Research:
1st place: Lea Macabangon- BEED
2nd place: Ariel Bautista- BSED
3rd place: Mark Jellicoe Rodillas- BSED

For Experimental Research:
1st place: Nofa Macadangdang, Joana Marie Mallillin, Ericka Visconde, and Angelica Bareng
2nd place: Renz Becuña, Jonathan Valencia, Thedy Garcia, Jerwin Paguirigan, and Nelson Banza
3rd place: Alvin Glen Galicinao, Janice Godoy, Jezrille Kae Dela Cruz, and Jea Malbacia

Technological Research:
1st place: Faith Ann España, Remalyn Cardona, Ann Murray Sian, and Andrei Marlowee Balmores
2nd place: Apple Gay Cristobal, Regine Bodiongan, and Queenie Tayamin
3rd place: Silver Lowin Inovejas, Joann Marie Pagadduan, Rick Justine Pascua, and Cristine Pascual.

Said first placers are set to represent the campus in the University’s Search for Best Undergraduate Thesis on June 20, 2024 at CSU Andrews.
