In an exceptional display of journalistic skill, scribes from the Ripple, the official student publication of CSU Lasam, swept awards during the 21st Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) held from February 11-13, 2025 at Isabela Convention Center (ICON), Cauayan City, Isabela.
Besting other writers in the region, The Ripple’s Circulation Manager John Paul Villena further solidified his reputation, taking home 6th place in Copy Reading and Headline Writing.
Literary Editor Christian Joseph Laderas cemented his RHEPC debut as he clinched the 7th place in Pagsusulat ng Tula and 8th place in Pagsusulat ng Lathalain.
Following Villena’s 10th place finish in 2024, Associate Editor John Warren Peneyra made a mark as he landed 9th in Pagwawasto ng Sipi.
Other participants who represented the campus were EIC Arcelyn Bermundo, Managing Editor Jeremiah Nuyles, Column Editor Jannah Dexie Quebral, Editorial Writer Mark Dave Pagtama, and Sports Writer Jun Nicole Yoro and were accompanied by Mr. Rocky Boy Casilana, newly-designated student publication adviser.
