To pave in facing their real-world battle, graduating students from College of Industrial Technology (CIT), College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), and College of Teacher Education (CTED) gathered to attend 2-in-1 orientation program at DARP Hall, June 25, 2025.
Senior Labor and Employment Officers from DOLE Regional Office, Johanna Jocelyn G. Alan and Gloria M. Alvarado, were invited by the Counseling and Career Services Office (CCSO) led by Ronabelle A. Ramil, Guidance Counselor 3, to serve as resource speakers on Employment Counseling Seminar.
On behalf of the CEO, CIT Dean Wilfredo M. Perciano opened the program by giving background to the seminar.
"This program means you are taking the first step to explore the real world. Use your questions as reflections along the way," Dean Perciano said.
Senior Officer Alan, as the first speaker, tackled on the tips for jobseekers, steps to blend with company's culture and the importance of being a good employee.
"In seeking a job, your faith is in your hands. In applying for a job, you must live a lasting impression," Alan said.
Meanwhile, Senior Officer Alvarado, the next speaker, discussed on labor education for graduating students, workers and employees.
"Before consulting into our office, make sure that you first talk with your manager or employer regarding your problems and queries in the future," Alvarado said.
Campus Academic Coordinator and CTED Dean Judelyn Cantor thanked the speakers in guiding the students on their post-graduate journey.
"Dear speakers, thank you for providing them a clear roadmap for navigating their professional careers. Graduates, this is the beginning of your transformations from dreamers to achievers," Dean Cantor stated.
Said seminar was followed by PRC Online Registration Orientation, attended solely by CTED finishers in relation to taking their Licensure Examination for Teachers, with Guidance Counselor Ramil as the speaker.
"PRC registration is now easier with online appointments to avoid the hassle of walk-in and face-to-face registration," Ramil clarified.
