CSU Officials, Team Kaunlaran Congregate at CSU-Lasam for University Orientation

Lasam, Cagayan— With the presence of the University officials and Team Kaunlaran, the Cagayan State University (CSU) Lasam Campus inaugurated its annual University Orientation at the Dr. Andres R. Pasion (DARP) Hall today, intending to acquaint the new students with the University's regulations and standards.

Prof. Florante Victor M. Balatico, Campus Executive Officer (CEO), welcomed the university officials and guest speakers, emphasizing the significance of the event in his opening remarks.
"Ito po ay napakalaking okasiyon para sa napakaliit na campus kagaya ng Cagayan State University Lasam campus. This [event] is very significant; this will be a very memorable day sa lahat po ng taga-Cagayan State University Lasam Campus," CEO Balatico stated.

Dr. Mariden Ventura Cauilan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the 1355 students at CSU-Lasam, and assured them of the quality services that CSU is ready to offer.
Furthermore, Congressman Joseph "Jojo" Lasam Lara, Cagayan's 3rd District Representative, delivered a motivational message, highlighting the crucial role of education.

"Kami ni Doc Zarah ay naniniwala sa pangarap ng bawat pamilya, nga kunada maysa nga ubing nga makalpas ti panagadal na, dakkel nga namnama tunggal maysa nga pamilya," Cong. Lara stated.
"We do our job as your public servant; and my appeal sa mga estudyante at mga guro, do your part para mailabas ang buong potensyal ng bawat isa sa atin", the Congressman added, encouraging both teachers and students to fulfill their roles in realizing their potential.

Moreover, Doc. Zarah "Pulsar" Lara conveyed an inspiring address, igniting hope for the CSU-Lasam students and ensuring various improvements in the campus facilities. This was followed by the presentation of CSU Officials by Mr. Aldrin I. Casilian, University Counseling and Career Services Office Guidance Assistant.

In compliance with the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 18, series of 2018, Asst. Prof. Cherry Sanut, OSDW Coordinator, discussed the Mandatory Random Drug Testing for the Students.
Other speakers during the afternoon session included: Lerissa Bautista, LPT, Campus Registrar; Juliecon Fieror, RL, Campus Librarian; Asst. Prof. Cherry Sanut, OSDW Coordinator; May-Ann Agatep, RN, Campus Nurse; and Ronabelle Ramil, RGC, Campus Guidance Counselor, who informed the students about the services offered by their respective offices.
