The Campus Sports, Culture, and Arts Affairs Office and Campus Gender and Development (GAD) Office hosted a seminar in preparation of the University Meet (UM) to promote a safe and inclusive environment for all members of its community, particularly athletes and coaches, today, February 17, at the DARP Hall.

Dr. Ronabelle A. Ramil, the Campus Guidance Counselor, discussed the Republic Act 11313 also known as the Safe Spaces Act, emphasizing the importance of understanding the law to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.

Moreover, Prof. Florante Victor M. Balatico, Campus Executive Officer, provided reminders to the coaches and student participants regarding appropriate behaviors and the "dos and don'ts" for the UM.

This initiative aligns with the University's GAD mandate in preventing violence and fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
