CSU-Lasam Highlights Breakthroughs in Campus In-House Review 2025

Marking a pivotal moment in the campus’ Research Development and Extension (RDE) landscape, Cagayan State University- Lasam Campus (CSU-Lasam) showcased groundbreaking studies and extension programs in the recently-held 2025 In-House Review, today, May 23.

To assess the proposed, ongoing, and completed research studies and programs, the Panel of Evaluators included: Engr. Junel B. Guzman, PhD, Vice President for RDE; Dr. Florentina S. Dumlao, University Technical Consultant; Josie Y. Bas-Ong, University Director for Extension; Dr. Gilbert C. Magulod, Jr., University Director for Knowledge and Technology Management; Prof. Florante Victor M. Balatico, PhD; and Dr. Dolores C. Quebral, Campus Extensionist.
In his opening remarks, CEO Balatico extended a warm welcome to the evaluators and the presenters and highlighted the recent milestone of the campus on the Tinupig Packaging Ordinance and the continued advancement of campus cacao development programs.
In her inspirational message, VP Guzman reaffirmed the administration’s steadfast support for research and development pursuits and underscored the value of crafting well-defined research objectives that could be used for extension programs.
Moreover, the participants from the three colleges took the spotlight as they presented their proposed, ongoing, and completed studies, thereby showcasing the campus’ responsiveness in its RDE endeavors.
The event formally concluded with the awarding of certificates of recognition and tokens of appreciation to the panel of evaluators and participating presenters.
