LASAM, Cagayan — The Cagayan State University-Lasam Campus (CSU-Lasam) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Lasam conducted a Consultative Meeting and Research Results Dissemination of Externally Funded Project today, August 22, 2025, at the Municipal Hall Conference Room.
Hon. Dante Dexter A. Agatep, Local Chief Executive of Lasam, represented by —- delivered an Opening remarks —- underscoring the importance of collaborative engagements between the academe and the local government in translating research into actionable community development programs.
The highlight of the event was the Presentation of Research Results and Outputs led by Prof. Balatico together with Asst. Prof. John Carlo L. Banan, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Bernard P. Madarang, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Dominador A. Agatep, Jr., JD. The discussion tackled the overview of the research, key findings, implications, and potential outputs beneficial for the community.
Asst. Prof. Manuelito M. Musni, MIT, presented the Final Packaging Box, which served as a concrete output of the project.
During the Open Forum, participants engaged in insightful exchanges focusing on costing, design, and manufacturing, further refining the application of the research outputs to meet both economic viability and local market needs.
To formally recognize the partnership, a Certificate of Technology Adoption was awarded with the presence of the LGU officials, highlighting the commitment of stakeholders to embrace innovation and sustainability.
Mr. Elmer A. Acierto, Municipal Tourism Officer, delivered his closing remarks emphasizing the role of research in advancing local industries and uplifting the socio-economic conditions of the municipality.
