Macabangon is 2nd Place in Uni-Wide Best Undergrad Thesis; Magulod secures 2nd Best Mentor

In an impressive display of acadamic excellence, Lhea Macabangon, a graduating BEED student from Cagayan State University Lasam Campus, secured the second place during the 2024 University-wide Search for Best Undergraduate Thesis in Social Science Category on June 20, 2024, at the Claude Andrews Convention Center, CSU- Andrews, Caritan, Tuguegarao City.

In the same event, Prof. Gilbert C. Magulod, Jr. Inked history as he emerged 2nd Best Mentor, following his remarkable back-to-back championship record in 2022 and 2023.

It was noted by Dr. Magulod that their paper titled, “Parental Perceptions on Elementary Graders’ Screen Time Towards the Development of Eduparental Engagement Model to Mitigate Gadget Overexposure: A Multiple Regression Analysis”, was initially tied with 1st place, but after deliberation, the judges declared a winner with 0.3 margin.

Student-researchers from CICS and CIT also presented their papers in the Technological and Experimental Categories and were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Ronel Pacubat, Asst. Prof. John Carlo Banan and Ins. Leonida G. Paat.
