Lasam, Cagayan- With an aim to develop innovative technologies to strengthen its niche-based programs and expand services to the communities, the Cagayan State University (CSU) -Lasam Campus held the Campus Extension In-House Review with the theme "Cacao's Global Journey: A Path to Progress" today at the Campus Library.
The panel of evaluators during the event comprised: Dr. Jhoanna B. Calabaquib, University Director for Research; Dr. Josie Y. Bas-Ong, University Director for Extension; Engr. James Cabildo, Department Chair of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at CSU-Carig; and Dr. Florante Victor Balatico, CEO of CSU-Lasam.
Dr. Bas-Ong commended the efforts of the faculty researchers and extensionists for giving quality project and program proposals in every In-House Review.
"Despite being the smallest campus, kayo ang nakakapagbigay ng quality outputs on research and extension. Lahat ng targets ninyo nako-comply ninyo on time", the Director stated.
Furthermore, the researchers presented their proposals, showcasing their innovations and studies for the betterment of cacao products, which was followed by the presentation of the Extension Programs of the 3 colleges, where interventions regarding the problems faced in education and community were emphasized.
The event concluded with the panelists giving comments and inputs for the betterment of the studies and programs and awarding of certificates.
